Former Manchester United manager Bennie McCarthy believes Jadon Sancho’s failure to break through at Old Trafford is due to communication issues.
Asked why Sancho has failed to live up to his potential, McCarthy said: “It’s a communication issue because Sanch is a very quiet person.
“Nobody knows anything about Jadon. He comes in, does his job, he trains and he doesn’t say anything.”
“He’s a fantastic kid, a great character, a great footballer. For me, it’s a shame it didn’t work out for Jadon at United. I think he’s the สมัคร ufabet type of player who could shine in a Red Devils shirt.”
“But unfortunately, I think the lack of communication and understanding, that’s part of the downfall, that’s why it didn’t work out for Sanch.”
McCarthy added that Sancho loves London so much that he often secretly travelled to the English capital during his time at Manchester United.
“He’s closer to home now than he was before. He used to sneak off to London a few times,” McCarthy added.
“It could be that he’s homesick and wants to be closer to his family, friends or his culture. Admittedly, London’s culture is quite intense. I think Jadon might want to experience that environment more.”
“Now he is closer to home and hopefully he can find the peace he needs, play as well as he did at Dortmund and get the love he deserves from the coaching staff and the players. I think he can become something special again. I think everyone who knows Sancho wants him to reach that level because it would be good for football.”
Manchester United paid £73m to sign Sancho from Borussia Dortmund under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021.
However, the England winger has struggled to impress and has had a falling out with Erik ten Hag before moving to Chelsea last summer.
