Lucas Torreira has revealed ‘no chance’ of him staying at Arsenal in the final year of his contract. The Uruguay international impressed during his loan spell with Serie A club Fiorentina last season. But the Italian has refused to pay the €15 million (£12.6 million) fee on the Gunners’ option to buy. Which is included in the loan deal.

Asked about the prospect of staying at Arsenal, Torreira told El Telegrafo : “There is no chance.” “In the beginning they told me there was no place for me. So I don’t want to be with you either because I’m having a hard time. I was very damaged by adaptation and my idea was to go to Italy or Spain.” “What I want is to stay in Fiorentina. But it didn’t happen for a number of reasons. So we will look for a new way.”
When asked about the possibility of a move to Boca Juniors, Torreira replied: “Boca was very difficult.” “It was difficult after what happened to my mother. And I really want to go there. Then I had a very good season. And I still have one year left on my contract with Arsenal.” “Every team that wants me has to buy me.
